Of all mountain bike skills, cornering might be the most complex. Riders must adjust for various speeds, radii, cambers and surfaces, not to mention rocks, logs, roots, rollers, jumps, drops and more.

At the highest levels, cornering gets integrated with almost everything we do: pumping, dropping, jumping and on and on. As a smart person told me, “The best riders are never going straight.”
